Outpatient Resource Float Registered Nurse

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and assist with medical procedures.
• Ability to provide patient education pertaining to a diagnosed illness; preparation for tests; patient care and diet; or related subject based on pre-established content.
• Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse or low- income populations
• Familiarity and operating knowledge of designated equipment and supplies.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Data entry and basic math skills
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding
• Ability to accurately collect patient information
• Knowledge of various standard laboratory and medical procedures
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nursing program accredited through the ACEN or CCNE
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
• Current active Indiana state RN license required
