Plans, Organises, and directs the overall operation and function of the Nursing Services. Provides leadership, and evaluation for the activities of the Nursing Department. Deliver and supervise the delivery of all aspects of nursing care to patients based on knowledge and experience to maintain and raise standards of care. Ensure adequate and appropriate patient and nursing documentation and records are maintained (manually and electronically) Participate actively in the training and onboarding of new Nursing Staff. Be a role model for nurses across the Organization, daily promoting and demonstrating the standards of care and level of professional & personal behaviours expected of the Nursing Team. Provide professional-level support for patients by answering medical questions, providing clinical information within the limits of their training/authority as applicable. Ensures nursing care plan and assessment functions are in place. Maintain an environment of quality, cost improvement that is data driven, and develops systems to review utilization of resources and objectively measure outcomes of care in the facility. Work with senior management and medical staff to develop strategic plans. Ensures the maintenance of standards in Quality, Infection Control, Health and Safety in the nursing division and facility. Maintains current knowledge of international trends in nursing care delivery and incorporate knowledge into daily operations of the Nursing Department. Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills. A self-starter, results-oriented personality with the ability to effectively lead and motivate. Efficient discharge of any other duties as assigned by the Nursing Manager or Clinical HODs.
