Examine different images including mammograms, CT scans, x-rays, MRI scans and ultrasounds.Read reports and record results for review by physicians.Diagnose patient illnesses.Recommend and discuss treatment options with other physicians.Work alongside radiologic technologists/radiology technicians and other health professionals in administering treatment.Examine patients and record medical histories.They may at times prescribe medication and carry out other duties of a regular physician.Administer nuclear medicine, oncology, or other radiation techniques to treat patients with illnesses or diseases.

Assist in the management of patients and provide back-up support to the consultant.Initial and ongoing assessment of patient's medical, physical, and psycho-social status.Provide patient education and counseling covering health status, test results, disease processes, and discharge planning.Work with other members of the health care team to provide direct medical care to patients.Aware regarding patient Investigation profile/reports/plan, Treatment details/drug procurement, Drug allergies/patient history.To ensure timely attention and intervention for any query or requirement from the IP patient.Complete all OP & IP records on time with accuracy.Write orders and progress notes in patient charts.

Job Description• Work in the critical care unit and look after patients who have experienced invasive surgery, accidents, trauma or organ failure.• Careful assessment and monitoring of patient progress in order to watch for sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition that might require emergency intervention.• Responsible for managing medication doses, anaesthesia and ventilatory support.

1. Performing test within TAT as per defined Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).2. To analyze internal and external quality assurance specimen/ samples.3. Performing calibrations and running of controls as per SOP.4. To incorporate result entry of tests performed.5. To ensure daily instrument maintenance.6. To maintain records of all reports.7. Maintain proper storage of specimens/ samples as per SOP.8. Observing laboratory safety precautions in handling clinical specimens and running of tests.9. Critical / abnormal findings to be escalated.

Gather data for quality assurance studies.To complete patient history form, visit patient and review medical record. Obtain relevant clinical information for inclusion in report.Assists the Consultant for:Special material management requirementEnsure quality of performance of the departmentIn all emergency casesin scheduling of cases and coordinating the department activitiesTo co-ordinate the Inter and Intra-departmental activitiesin research, camps, presentations, referral reply to doctors etcTo be an in-house consultant for all emergency situations encountered in the hospital.
