This position is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the daily activities of the surgical area.Maintains confidentiality of patients, department and hospital.Has a clear understanding of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and develops and follows department policies and procedures to maintain compliance.Develops annual department budget, marketing plan, and monthly stats.Works effectively as a team member within the facility to provide quality service to hospital departments through communication, cooperation, and collaboration.Interviews, evaluates and hires employees using established guidelines and hospital policies and procedures.Orients employees to department and facility.Trains, develops, supervises and evaluates staff to meet requirements set forth in department plan.

Our team needs you to:Administer medications including oral, topical, drops, sprays, etc. per doctor’s orders according to the policies and procedures of the facility and adhering to the five rights of medication administration.Assist with med cart change over and the checking of the monthly med sheets as directed by the Charge Nurse.Monitor any changes in resident’s physical or mental behavior and report the abnormality to the Charge Nurse.Maintain medication cart in a clean and orderly state and re-stock with supplies as needed.Obtain a 40-hour valid and current Medication Aide certification in the State of Nebraska.
