Our client are a highly progressive Pharmacy Retailer looking to recruit an Area Manager for their Leinster region. Responsible for managing 16 -20 stores, building strong working relationships with store managers ensuring they are working to set KPI's and are working to set plannograms/merchandising materials and utilising potential sales opportunities. You will have responsibility for auditing and ensuring full compliance's are met within each store. Key responsibilities are to help drive and develop these stores developing sales and analysing their buying to ensure they are stocking OTC products that are key sellers.

Medication Safety Management:Implement best operating practice related to medication safety with theobjective of reducing medication incidents.Drive a system of incident reporting, identify negative trends andimplement corrective action.Drive antimicrobial stewardship programs in the hospital.Drive the implementation and compliance to company policies andprocesses.Ensure compliance with South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC),Department of Health (DOH) and other statutory and legalrequirements.Relationship Management:Build mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and externalcustomers as it relates to the delivery of an effective and qualitypharmaceutical service within the hospital and the retail pharmacy.Engage with Doctors and Patients with regards to medication and othermatters.Ensure client expectations are met, and quality client service provided.Maintain professional ethics and ensure these are demonstratedpersonally and by team members.Financial Management:Achieve hospital budgeted financial measures as it relates to thePharmacy.Manage the cost of sales of pharmaceuticals in line with revenue andbudget.Communicate and implement cost saving opportunities.Conduct financial analysis monthly, identify negative trends andimplement corrective action.Ensure that expenses are authorized and allocated and controlledaccordingly.Scrutinize stock reports regularly to identify errors and implementcorrective measures so as to ensure proper inventory management iscontinuously improved and risks identified and mitigated.Implement effective stock management processes:Stock is ordered, received and issued according to Companyrequirements and stock management principles;Preferred supplier agreements are adhered to;Stock takes are coordinated according Company requirements; andStock variances are reported and addressed in order to minimizerisks.
